- Abstract:The paper tends to investigate the features of discourse markers in students’ spoken English compared with native oral English. Based on analysis of implicit knowledge on discourse markers in spoken discourse, the features of discourse markers in students’ conversation are analyzed from the viewpoints of occurrence and functions respectively.The experiments’ results prove that the spoken discourse markers appear less in students’corpora than in native speakers’, some even do not appear and some do not only occur less but also the occurrence of their functions is not appropriate.
